Crystals

I adore snow.   I adore it even more now that I don't "have" to go out in it if I don't want to anymore.  Well, that is a sideways "Thank you Vandy for bringing home the bacon".   And when we get a small thaw, and then the most dangerous fog, freeze comes in ...well, we get crystals and they are just magnificent.  Do you agree?

Okay, okay up to the studio to create.  TTYL

The Partial Remodel

So what do you think?  It was so much work, but soooo very worth it!  I am thinking of putting some words of wisdom along the soffits, I just haven't decided what I want it to say ...

Now the coffee is on the other counter and my wine sits in the corner.  A cook needs wine close by you know!  The new microvave will fit perfectly over the stove, however I will have to get a smaller cabinet to go over the stove, which means more painting.  Hmmmm I think I can wait for a little while longer.

This is the wall I am having problems with, just not sure what I want to do here.  I first wanted a pot rack, but after getting rid of some pots and reorganizing, not sure I need a pot rack.  So, now I am thinking a shelving unit or a great piece of art.

So, after the big revel, what do you think I should get next.  New countertops or flooring?  The flooring is that old tile 10x10 flooring.  It is HORRIBLE, so did I just answer my question?  lol  Perhaps, but I also have these awesome coupons from Lowe's that I have to use by 30 January 2010.

Okay, I am looking forward to hearing your input.  Tomorrow we'll do a project!

Out with the old

As I promised, here are the pictures of my kitchen.  It's funny thinking about when we bought this house.  I said to Vandy, oh, it will be easy to gut this kitchen and EIGHT years later, it still has not been GUTTED.  However, there has been a bit of remodeling going on and I hope to do the rest in the next few weeks.

The microwave is till in this corner, but it will eventually be replaced with an over the range system.  Does anyone else have those husbands that as long as it isn't broke, you don't need to replace it?  Yep, that is me and my husband.

Now does this hoosier look familiar?  Yep, it is the one in the wine cellar now.  Addie and I shoved it down the basement stairs, okay okay, we careful moved this 500 pound piece of furniture to the basement, for it NEVER to come up the stairs again!

So, I am saving the the partial remodel pictures for tomorrow.  I do have to say I was in a sure fire hurry to get new countertops, but after seeing the new paint job, I may get the floor done first, then the countertops.  The problem is, I was set on a cream with black flecks, but I do love the way black looks, soooooooooo voice your opinion tomorrow when you see the new pictures!  I would appreciate it!!!!
